Luminext wins Municipality of Bergen op Zoom tender for management of public lighting and traffic installations
Luminext is pleased to announce that the Municipality of Bergen op Zoom has awarded us the contract to supply and implement the Luminizer management system. With this award, the municipality is choosing an advanced and future-proof solution for the management of its public lighting and traffic control installations. Luminext is proud of the confidence placed in us by the Municipality of Bergen op Zoom, a city with approximately 70,000 inhabitants. The agreement, which takes effect on October 1, 2025, has a maximum term of eight years and marks a significant step for the municipality in optimizing the management of its public space.

A single central management system
The objective of the contract is the implementation of a single, central management system that consolidates all data from the public lighting and traffic control installations. With the Luminizer software, the Municipality of Bergen op Zoom will gain complete insight into and control over its public lighting and traffic control installations. The platform makes it possible to remotely monitor smart lighting from various installations supplied by different vendors, proactively detect faults, and schedule maintenance more efficiently. The platform also offers a connection and integration with the municipal reporting system ‘Signalen,’ making it easier for residents to report defects in public lighting. This leads not only to a significant improvement in service delivery but also to increased safety and more sustainable energy consumption.
